The camel is known for its remarkable patience and endurance. If a child holds its reins and leads it for a hundred leagues (4 to 6 kilometers), it will not turn its head or refuse to go. However, if a precipitous valley appears before the camel, threatening everyone with destruction, and the same child, out of ignorance, wants the camel to continue towards this valley, it will refuse to obey and will not move forward.
In times of hardship, gentleness is condemned, and it is said that an enemy does not become a friend through kindness, but rather grows more greedy (and treacherous).
Be like dust beneath the feet of those who treat you well (treat them with even greater kindness and humility).
And if someone acts hostilely towards you, fill their eyes with dust (do not treat them gently).
Do not address those with harsh natures with kindness and generosity,
for rust cannot be removed with a fine file.
Arabic Translation
الجمل معروف بشدة الصبر والتحمل، حَيث إذا أمسكَ طفلٌ بزمامهِ وقادهُ لمسافة مِئة فَرسخ (من ٤ الى ٦ كيلومتر)، فلن يُدير رأسه ولن يَرفض السير
أما إذا ظهرَ وادٍ سَحيق أمام الجمل، يُهدد بالهلاك للجميع، وأراد نفس الطفل، عن جهلٍ، أن يستمر الجمل بالسير نحو هذا الوادي، فإنه يرفض الطاعة ولا يَتقدم
ففي أوقات الشدة، يُلامُ اللَينُ، ويُقال: إن العَدو لا يُصبح صديقًا باللطفِ، بل يَزداد جشعًا (وغدراً)
كُن كالغبارِ تَحت قَدمي من يُحسن إليك (من يعاملك بلطفٍ، عامله بأكثر من لطفهِ، وتواضع له)
وإن تَصرف أحدٌ معكَ بعداءٍ، فاملأ عينيه بالتراب (لا تعامله بلينٍ)
لا تُخاطب ذَوي الطِباع القاسية بلطفٍ وكرمٍ
فالصدأ لا يُزال بالمُبرد الناعمِ

حلم شتر چنان که معلوم است اگر طفلی مهارش گیرد و صد فرسنگ برد، گردن از متابعتش نپیچد، اما اگر درهای هولناک پیش آید که موجب هلاک باشد و طفل آنجا به نادانی خواهد شدن، زمام از کفش در گسلاند و بیش مطاوعت نکند که هنگام درشتی ملاطفت مذموم است و گویند دشمن به ملاطفت دوست نگردد بلکه طمع زیادت کند
کسی که لطف کند با تو خاک پایش باش
وگر ستیزه برد در دو چشمش آکن خاک
سخن به لطف و کرم با درشتخوی مگوی
که زنگ خورده نگردد به نرم سوهان پاک
