Have you heard about the Persian kings who oppressed their subjects?
But nothing of that power remained, nor the kings
And that injustice did not last forever for the peasant.
So, see how the injustice committed by the oppressor
did not endure, for the people remained after him, and he departed this world with his sins.
Blessed is the just one, when he is resurrected from his grave on the Day of Gathering (the Day of Resurrection),
for his abode will be under the shade of the Just Lord of the Throne (God).
For the people whom God loves good for,
He will grant them a just and wise king.
And if God wills to bring destruction upon a land,
He places its authority in the hands of an oppressive king.
(Surah Al-Isra in Quran: And when We (God) intend to destroy a city, We command its affluent ones to obey Us, and spread the sins; so the word of us (God order) comes into effect upon it, and utterly destroyed)
The righteous fear His (God) wrath, for the tyranny of an unjust ruler over his subjects is God’s wrath.
Know that all greatness comes from God, and recognize His favor upon you.
For divine blessings vanish from the ungrateful, the one who is not thankful
If you are grateful (to God) for this kingdom and wealth, then you have acquired a kingdom and wealth that will never vanish.
But if you become unjust and oppressive to your subjects, you will end up poor (losing both wealth and power) after losing your power
For it is forbidden for a king to sleep soundly while the weak groan under the weight of the strong.
Do not harm your subjects, not even by the size of a mustard seed.
For the ruler is a shepherd to his subjects, and his purpose is to watch over them.
If they see cruelty and injustice from him
That ruler is not a shepherd to his flock, but a wolf devouring their flesh; woe to him!
For his end is evil in this world and the next, and evil is what he has done.
He who makes cruelty and harshness his profession with his subjects.
This time will pass, with its hardships and its sweetness,
but the oppressor’s bad reputation will remain for years.
If you do not want to be cursed after your death,
then do good, so that no one will remember you with ill will.
Arabic Translation
هل سَمعتهم عن مُلوك العَجمِ
الذين أوقعوا الظلم برعاياهم؟
لكن لم يبقى شيء من تلك القوة، ولا الملوك
ولم يبقي ذلك الظُلم على الفلاح الى الأبد
فتبينوا، كَيف أن الظُلم الذي أقترفه الظالم
لم يستمر، فالخَلق بَقيت بعده، ورحل من الدنيا هو مع آثامهِ
فطوبى للعادلِ، حين ينُشر من قبرهِ، يَوم المَحشر (يوم القيامة)
حيث سيكون مَقره تَحت ظل صاحب العَرش العادل (ألله)
فالقوم الذَين يُحب الله لهم الخَير
سوف يرزقهم مَلكاً عادلاً سديد الرأي
وإذا أراد الله إيقاع الخَراب ببلد ما
سلم سُلطانه بيد ملك ظالم
(سورة الأسراء: وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرًا)
فالصالحون يخافون من غضبهِ (ألله)
لأن تَسلط الحاكم الجائر على الرعية هو غَضب من الله
فاعلموا أن العَظمة من ألله، واعرفوا فضل ألله عليكم
فإن النِعمة الألهية تَزول عن الجاحد، الغير شاكر لله
فإذا شَكرتَ على هذا المُلك والمَال
فقد حَصلت على مُلك ومال لا يزول
وإن أصبحت جائراً وظالماً للرعية
فسينتهي بك الحال فَقيراً (تفقد المال والملك) بعد المُلك
فأنه حرامٌ، النوم الهَنيء، على المَلك
حَين يئن الضَعيف تَحت وطأة القوي
فلا تؤذِ الرَعية ولو بِمقدار حَبة خَردل
فالسُلطان راعٍ للرَعية، والسَهر على رعايتهم هي غايته
فإذا رأوا مِنه القَسوة والجور والظلم
فليَس ذلك السلطان براعٍ للرعية، بل هو ذئب ينهش باجسادهم؛ فالويل له
فقد ساءت عَاقبته في الدنيا والأخرة، وسَاء ما فعل
من أتخذ الجَفاء والقسوة مَهنةً مع رعاياه
فسَيمر هذا الزمن، بقسوتهِ وحلاوتهِ
يبقى للظالم سُوء السمعة لسنواتٍ
إن كُنت لا تَريد أن يلعنوك بعد وفاتك
فأعمل خيراً، لكي لا يَذكرك أحدٌ بسوء

خبرداری از خسروان عجم
که کردند بر زیردستان ستم؟
نه آن شوکت و پادشایی بماند
نه آن ظلم بر روستایی بماند
خطا بین که بر دست ظالم برفت
جهان ماند و با او مظالم برفت
خنک روز محشر تن دادگر
که در سایهٔ عرش دارد مقر
به قومی که نیکی پسندد خدای
دهد خسروی عادل و نیکرای
چو خواهد که ویران شود عالمی
کند ملک در پنجهٔ ظالمی
سگالند از او نیکمردان حذر
که خشم خدای است بیدادگر
بزرگی از او دان و منّت شناس
که زایل شود نعمت ناسپاس
اگر شکر کردی بر این ملک و مال
به مالی و ملکی رسی بیزوال
وگر جور در پادشایی کنی
پس از پادشایی گدایی کنی
حرام است بر پادشه خواب خوش
چو باشد ضعیف از قوی بارکش
میازار عامی به یک خردله
که سلطان شبان است و عامی گله
چو پرخاش بینند و بیداد از او
شبان نیست، گرگ است، فریاد از او
بد انجام رفت و بد اندیشه کرد
که با زیردستان جفا، پیشه کرد
به سختی و سستی بر این بگذرد
بماند بر او سالها نام بد
نخواهی که نفرین کنند از پست
نکو باش تا بد نگوید کست
