The scholar who speaks out of ignorance

A speaker’s speech will never reach perfection or accuracy, nor will its flaws be eliminated, except through repeated criticism from others.

Do not become arrogant because of your eloquence, even if the ignorant accept it without comment or criticism, and do not let it lead to self-aggrandizement.

(Criticism and feedback from others are essential for correcting and improving speech. A speaker should not boast about their speech until its flaws are exposed, because then the speech will no longer accept any correction or modification.)
