There was some hair on a part of my body that was inside my clothes, and the sheikh would ask me about it every day, but he never asked me where it was. I knew he was avoiding mentioning it because mentioning every part of the human body is not permissible. The wise have said: He who does not weigh his words will be harmed by the consequences of the reply.
If you do not know that what you want to say is the absolute truth, then you should not utter a single word.
If you speak the truth and remain imprisoned, it is better for you than a lie that might free you from captivity.
Arabic Translation
كان شيء من الشَعر على عضوٍ موجود داخل ثيابي، وكان الشَيخ يسألني كل يومٍ عن حالهِ، لكنه لم يسألني عن مكانهِ، فَكنت أعلمُ أنه يَتجنب ذِكره، لأن ذَكر كل عضو من أعضاء الإنسان غير جائزٍ، وقد قال الحُكماء: مَن لَم يَزن كلامهُ، أضرهُ الرَد على كلامهِ
إذا لم تعرف بأن الذي تريد قوله هو الحق بعينهِ
فلا ينبغي لك أن تفتح فمكَ ببنت شفةٍ
فإن قُلت الحَق، وبقيت في الأسر
فَهو خَيرٌ لكَ، من الكَذب الذَي يُحررك من الأسرِ

ریشی درون جامه داشتم و شیخ از آن هر روز بپرسیدی که چون است و نپرسیدی کجاست، دانستم از آن احتراز میکند که ذکر همه عضوی روا نباشد و خردمندان گفتهاند هر که سخن نسنجد، از جوابش برنجد
تا نیک ندانی که سخن عین صواب است
باید که به گفتن دهن از هم نگشایی
گر راست سخن گویی و در بند بمانی
به زآن که دروغت دهد از بند رهایی
