Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, used to come every day to serve the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
One day, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: “O Abu Hurairah, visit me less frequently, and my love for you will increase.” (Meaning: Do not come every day, but visit me after a day or two, so that love and longing may increase.)
A man of keen intellect was asked: “Although the sun is the most beautiful sight in existence, we have never heard of anyone being enamored with it or having their hearts melt for it.”
He replied: “Because it is seen every day, except in winter, when it is veiled by clouds, and then it becomes beloved and desired.”
There is nothing wrong with meeting people and sitting with them, but not to the point where they say: “Enough! That’s enough!”
If you yourself blame and criticize others, then you should not accept anyone blaming or criticizing you
Arabic Translation
كان أبو هريرة رضي الله عنه، يأتي كلَّ يومٍ لخدمة الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم
فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يومًا: يا أبا هريرة، زُرْني غِبًّا تَزْدَدْ حُبًّا (أي: لا تأتِ كل يوم، بل زُرْني بعد يومٍ أو يومين، كي تزداد المحبة والشوق)
قيل لصاحب قلبٍ يقظٍ: مع أن الشمس أجملُ منظرٍ في الوجود، لم نسمع أن أحدًا عشقها أو ذابت قلوبُهم من أجلها
فقال: لأنها تُرى كل يومٍ، إلا في الشتاءِ، حين تحجبها الغيوم فتصير محبوبةً مرغوبةً
لا عيبَ في لقاء الناس والجلوس معهم
ولكن لا إلى الحدّ الذي يقولون فيه: يكفى، حَسبكَ
إذا كنتَ أنتَ بنفسك تلوم وتعاتب الأخرين
فلا ينبغي لك القبول أن يُسمعكَ أحدٌ ملامةٍ أو عتابٍ

ابوهُرَیْرَه، رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، هر روز به خدمتِ مصطفی، صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْهِ، آمدی
گفت: یا اَباهُرَیْرَةٍ! زُرْنی غِبّاً، تَزْدَدْ حُبّاً: هر روز میا تا محبّت زیادت شود
صاحبدلی را گفتند: بدین خوبی که آفتاب است، نشنیدهایم که کس او را دوست گرفته است و عشق آورده
گفت: برای آنکه هر روز میتوان دید مگر در زمستان که محجوب است و محبوب
به دیدارِ مردم شدن عیب نیست
ولیکن نه چندان که گویند: بس
اگر خویشتن را ملامت کنی
ملامت نباید شنیدت ز کس
