A king should not become so angry with his enemies that he loses the trust of his loyal subjects. For the fire of anger first consumes the angry sultan, and only then, perhaps, may its flames reach the enemy.
It is not befitting for a man created from dust to be characterized by arrogance, recklessness, and pride.
With this anger, which is like fire, and the rebellion within you, I do not believe you were created from dust (you are not human), but from fire (you are a devil).
In the land of Bilqan, I came to a worshipper
I said to him: Purify me from ignorance with your knowledge.
He said: Go, endure, as the earth endures, O learned one,
Or bury all that you have read beneath the dust.
(Either learn to endure, as the earth endures, whoever is on it, or whatever you read or teach it to you will not benefit you)
Arabic Translation
لا يَنبغي للمَلك أن يَغضب على أعدائهِ إلى دِرجةٍ يَفقد مَعها المُوالين له ثِقتهم بهِ، فنارُ الغَضبِ تَحرق أولًا السلطان الغاضب، ثم بَعد ذلك، مُمكن يَصل لهيبها إلى العدو، أو لا
ليس من اللائق لرجلٍ خُلقَ من الترابِ
أن يَتسم بالغرورِ، التهورِ والكبرياءِ
مع هذا الغَضب كأنهُ نارٌ، والتَمردِ الذي فيكَ
لا أظنك مخلوق من الترابِ (لستَ بإنسانٍ)، بل من النارِ (أنتَ شيطانٌ)
(الإنسان مخلوق من تراب، ولكن الشيطان مخلوق من نار)
في أرضُ بيلقان، وَصلتُ إلى عابدٍ
فقلتُ له: طَهّرني من الجهلِ، بعلمٍ منكَ
فقال: أذهب، تَحمل، كما يتحمل تراب الأرض، يا فقيه
أو أدفن كل ما قرأتَ، تحت الترابِ
(أما ان تتعلم التَحمل، مثل ما تتحمل الارض مَن عليها، أو لن يَفيدك كلما تقرأ أو أعلمه لك)

پادشه باید که تا به حدی خشم بر دشمنان نراند که دوستان را اعتماد نماند، آتش خشم اول در خداوند خشم اوفتد پس آنگه زبانه به خصم رسد یا نرسد
نشاید بنیآدم خاکزاد
که در سر کند کبر و تندی و باد
تو را با چنین گرمی و سرکشی
نپندارم از خاکی از آتشی
در خاک بیلقان برسیدم به عابدی
گفتم: مرا به تربیت از جهل پاک کن
گفتا: برو چو خاک تحمل کن ای فقیه
یا هر چه خواندهای همه در زیر خاک کن
