Money is meant for a person’s comfort throughout their life, not for a person to spend their life accumulating money.
A wise man was asked: Who is the fortunate one, and who is the unfortunate one?
He replied: The fortunate one is he who enjoys life and also sows goodness (for others), while the unfortunate one is he who dies leaving behind wealth (and who did nothing in his life).
Do not pray for the person who did nothing in his life, who spent his entire life chasing money, and never enjoyed it.
Arabic Translation
المَال مِن أجلِ راحةُ الانسان في عمرهِ، لا عُمر الإنسان فقط يقضيه مِن أجل جَمع المالِ
سُئلَ عاقلٌ: مَن هو سَعيدُ الحظِ وكيف هوَ الشَقي؟
فقال: سَعيدُ الحظِ هو من أستمتع بالدنيا، مع ذلك زرع الخَير (من أجل الأخرين)، والشقي من ماتَ وتَرك الثروة بعده (وفي حياتهِ لم يَفعل شيئاً)
لا تقم بالصلاةِ على ذلك الشَخص الذي لم يَفعل شيئاً في حياتهِ
والذي قضى عُمره كله في السعي خلف المالِ، ولم يتمتع بهِ

مال از بهر آسایش عمر است نه عمر از بهر گرد کردن مال
عاقلی را پرسیدند: نیکبخت کیست و بدبختی چیست؟
گفت: نیکبخت آن که خورد و کشت و بدبخت آن که مُرد و هِشت
مکن نماز بر آن هیچ کس که هیچ نکرد
که عمر در سرِ تحصیلِ مال کرد و نخورد
