| Moses, peace be upon him, saw a dervish who had buried his body in the sand because he had no clothes to cover himself. The dervish said, “O Moses, pray to God Almighty to provide me with enough sustenance, for my soul can bear no more (it is on the verge of death).” So Moses prayed for the dervish and left. A few days later, when Moses returned from his communion with God, he saw a captive man surrounded by a crowd of people. He asked, “What happened to him to bring him to this state?” They told Moses: This man was drunk, quarreled with others, and killed someone. He will be punished according to the orders. And those of sound mind said: If the weak cat had wings, it would steal the eggs of the little birds in this world The weak, who gain power, prey on the weak. And if God were to extend provision to His servants, they would surely transgress in the earth Moses, peace be upon him, acknowledged the wisdom of the Creator and asked forgiveness for his boldness/audacity (for praying for this person without knowledge). What has possessed you, O arrogant one, to entrap in danger Until you perish?, Oh, if only the ants hadn’t flown! If a servant attains status and becomes wealthy with silver and gold, he will surely boast of his status and high position. But punishment will come to him from God, through the people, and they will put him in his place (a slap on the head like what Saadi proverb imply). Have you not heard what Plato said? It is better for an ant not to have wings. The father has abundant honey, but his son is feverish and boiling with fever. (Here, the father is God, the Creator. He possesses abundant goodness, but He bestows it upon His servant in a specific measure, determined solely by Him. Saadi gives the example of a father with abundant honey, while his son suffers from a fever. The father cannot give his son the honey, even in abundance, because the honey would be fatal due to the heat it would generate, adding to the fever the son already suffers from) The Creator (God Almighty), who did not make you wealthy (powerful), knows what is best for you better than you did. |
| Arabic Translation موسى، عَلَیْهِالسَّلامُ، رأى درويشًا قد طَمرَ جِسمهُ في الرملِ بسبب عدم إمتلاكه للملابسِ (التي تُغطي جِسمه) فقال الدرويش: يا موسى، ادعُ لي الله عَزَّوَجَلّ أن يَرزُقني رِزقًا يكفيني، فلم تعد روحي تتحمل المزيد (وصلت للموتِ) فدعا موسى (للدرويشِ) وانصرف فلما عادَ مُوسى مِن مُناجاتهِ لله، بعد أيامٍ قليلة، رأى رَجلاً أسيرًا مُحاطًا بحشدٍ من الناسِ فقال: ما الذي حَدث له لكي يُصبح بهذا الحالِ؟ فقالوا لموسى: بأن هذا الرجل قد شَرِبَ الخَمرِ، تَخاصمَ مع أخرين، وقَتل شخصاً، و سيتم القِصاص منه بحسب الأوامر، وقد قال اصحاب العقل الراجحِ لو كانَ للقطِ الوديع أَجِنحةٌ لسلبَ بَيض العصافير الصغيرة في هذا العالم الضعيف، الذي تُصبح في يدهِ سلطةٍ يقوم بسلب أنفس الضعفاء (يعتدي على الضعفاء) وَ لَوْ بَسَطَ اللهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبٰادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِی الْاَرْض موسی، علیهالسَّلام، أقرَ بِحكمةِ الخالقِ وطَلب المَغفرة على جُرأته/جسارتهِ (على الدعاء لها الشخص بدون علمٍ) مٰاذا اَخاضَكَ یا مَغْرُورُ فِی الْخَطَرِ حَتّیٰ هَلَکْتَ، فَلَیْتَ النَّمْلَ لَمْ یَطِرِ إذا ما نال العَبدُ جاهًا، وأغتنى بالفضةِ والذهبا فأنه حتما سوف سيتباهى بجاههِ، ورفعتهِ، ولكن سوف يأتيه العقاب من ألله، بواسطة الناس ويوقفوه عند حدهِ (صفعة على رأسه مثلها سعدي) أما سمعتَ ماذا قال أفلاطون؟ النَملةُ خَيرٌ لها أن لا يكون لها أجنحة للأبِ عسلٌ كثيرٌ، لكن الابنَ مَحمومٌ يغلي من الحمّى (هنا الأب ألله، الخالق، لديه خير كثيرٌ، ولكنه ينزله ويعطيه لعبدهِ بمقدارٍ معين، ألله وحده يحدده، هنا سعدي اعطى مثلاً للأب الذي لديه عسل كثيرٌ، وأبنه لديه في جسمهِ حُمى، لايمكن للأب اعطاء ابنه العسل، حتى مع الكثرة، لأنه العسل سوف يكون سبباً في قتلهِ، بسبب الحرارة التي يعطيها للجسم، فوق الحمى التي يعاني منها الابن) الخالق (ألله تعالى) ذلك الذي لم يَجعلكَ غَنيًّا (مقتدراً) هو أدرى بمصلحتكَ، أكثرُ مِنكَ |
| Persian text موسی، عَلَیْهِالسَّلامُ، درویشی را دید از برهنگی به ریگ اندر شده گفت: ای موسی! دعا کن تا خدا، عَزَّوَجَلّ، مرا کَفافی دهد که از بیطاقتی به جان آمدم موسی دعا کرد و برفت پس از چند روز که بازآمد از مناجات، مرد را دید گرفتار و خَلقی انبوه بر او گرد آمده گفت: این چه حالت است؟ گفتند: خَمْر خورده و عربده کرده و کسی را کُشته، اکنون به قِصاص فرمودهاند و لطیفان گفتهاند گربهٔ مسکین اگر پر داشتی تخمِ گنجشک از جهان برداشتی عاجز، باشد که دستِ قوَّت یابد برخیزد و دستِ عاجزان برتابد وَ لَوْ بَسَطَ اللهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبٰادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِی الْاَرْض موسی، علیهالسَّلام، به حکمتِ جهانآفرین اقرار کرد و از تَجاسُرِ خویش استغفار مٰاذا اَخاضَک یا مَغْرُورُ فِی الْخَطَرِ حَتّیٰ هَلَکْتَ، فَلَیْتَ النَّمْلَ لَمْ یَطِرِ بنده چو جاه آمد و سیم و زرش سیلی خواهد به ضرورت سَرَش آن نشنیدی که فلاطون چه گفت مور همان به که نباشد پَرَش؟ پدر را عسل بسیار است ولی پسر گرمیدار است آن کسکه توانگرت نمیگرداند او مصلحتِ تو از تو بهتر داند |
