The nobility of satiety and the humility of strength

He who did not eat his bread in his life (give to others from his surplus), his name will not be remembered at his death.

The pleasure of grapes is known to the widow (the deprived one), not the owner of the grapes.

And Joseph (peace be upon him) did not eat his fill during the years of famine in Egypt, so as not to forget the hungry.

How can one who has lived in luxury and comfort know the plight of the hungry?

O rider of the swift horse, beware! For the poor donkey carrying thorns is mired in the mud.

Do not seek fire from the house of the poor neighbor, for what comes out of his chimney is but the smoke of his heart (the sigh of his pain and regret).
