All praise and glory, which know no bounds or limits, belong to God, the Most High, the Exalted, who, by His wondrous creation and wisdom, brought us forth from the darkness of nothingness into the light of existence.
My God, O Almighty, whose power encompasses all things, and O Sustainer of souls by the gentleness of Your Lordship; O Generous in Your bestowal, and Bountiful in the abundance of Your blessings, and Forgiving of the stumbles of Your servants,
What could possibly be diminished from Your dominion—O King of Kings and Sultan of Sultans—if You were to shower Your boundless mercy upon a handful of the needy kneeling at Your doorstep?
My God, You have bestowed upon us the grace of faith and the ability to profess the testimony of faith purely through Your grace and generosity. We earned this gift through no effort or merit of our own.
Just as You began this grace with us, our eyes turn to You in hope that You will not take away what You have granted us, and that You will perpetuate this glorious gift upon us.
For it is not surprising, given the overflowing generosity of the Creator, that He would inscribe forgiveness upon our sins and transgressions, erasing the trace of our sins from the record of our deeds.
O God, we beseech You by the sanctity of that holy honor of glory, which You bestowed upon Your prophets and Your righteous saints.
We beseech You by those sincere knights in the fields of worship, who, with their spiritual might, shattered the plots of Satan and subdued the passionate urges within themselves.
And we implore You by the pious and pure, do not expel me (or us) from the precincts of Your door, for I (or we) am the disobedient and negligent servant whose actions have distanced me from the station of piety.
So, O believers (Muslims), repeat with the word: Amen, with the strength of truth and the sincerity of certainty. For seeking a response from the All-Giving Creator is what strengthens the supplication and makes it answered in the heavens.
My God, we stand helpless, knowing no remedy for the ailment of the soul (no healing medicine), nor any means to repel the whispers of Satan or overcome the dictates of destiny and fate.
And since our misfortune and the wretchedness of our souls have distanced us from Your presence, we ask You, by Your generosity, to grant us closeness to those who are near to You in Your holy presence.
My God! If You were to turn away (Sa’adi) from the door of Your forgiveness, he would come to You seeking intercession through the Spirit of The Pure One, the Chosen One, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)
The Master of Masters in this existence, the shining lamp of guidance, and the delight of the eyes of all the prophets and messengers, as a means of acceptance and a refuge from rejection.
Sermon meaning
The attainment of perfect servitude begins with the absolute acknowledgment of one’s own poverty before divine richness. It is important in spiritual and emotional development because it establishes the principles of “the etiquette of supplication” through beseeching the “Greatest Means” and the stations of the prophets and saints, emphasizing that sincere hope is the servant’s last refuge when human means fail before the power of divine decree, and that remembrance of the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) is the lamp that dispels darkness. Arabic Translation
