The unjust ruler, with the pen’s sharp spear

The unjust ruler, with the pen’s sharp spear,

Steals without bow, without arrows pierce.

Our community laments not the wolf’s assault,

But the shepherd who stirs all this chaos and fault.

He who inflicts harm on people, blind to his deed,

Knows not the harm he brings upon his own creed.

If the thief fails to steal through the garden’s wall,

The guard himself commits that exact crime
