A King met with an Ascetic

A king saw an ascetic and asked, “Do you remind us of anything?” (Do you want something from us?)
The ascetic replied, “Yes, when I forget God (when I forget to ask of God, I seek help from others).

He whom his Master (God) casts out runs in every direction (he pursues any path). But he whom his Master (God) calls does not seek anyone else’s door (he does not run to anyone else’s).”

He whom God casts out in His wrath has no refuge wherever he goes. But he who seeks help from God, He makes him independent of others, and he needs no one.”
