English Translation

You are truly departing, and so may Allah be with you.

Let your stubbornness and the gossip of people benefit you now, and may Allah be with you.

You depart as if we were absolute strangers— As though there was never any affection between us,

and we were never lovers for even a single day!

Oh life, we have indeed witnessed wonders in your changing states;

In you, the precious one is humbled and becomes cheap, even if it were pure gold!

Oh, who could have ever believed that this would happen to us?

Who could have said that you would trample over my very heart?

You go away, throwing our love aside and discarding it,

hating me from your heart, and hating the very place where we once lived together.

Explaining:

الله معاك / رايح خلاص: A final declaration of surrender and an end to the argument; a tone that blends the pride of disdain with the bitterness of inner defeat, revealing the lover’s inability to dissuade their partner from leaving.

خلي العناد وخلي كلام الناس: “What people say” (the gossips) that destroyed the relationship and eroded its foundations, making stubbornness the true leader of the decision to leave instead of the voice of loyalty and affection.

كأننا أغراب: The pinnacle of grief and sudden emotional shift; it describes how warm, intimate feelings and long-standing promises can transform in an instant into complete coldness and estrangement, as if the two had never shared a heartbeat or connection.

الثمين مسكين يرخص لو أنه ذهب: A profound existential wisdom expressing the devaluation of loyalty and genuine feelings in the marketplace of social pretense; where something precious loses its value and grandeur when offered to someone who doesn’t understand its essence and true worth.

تكره المكان اللي احنا عشنا فيه: a manifestation of hatred that transcends people, extending to inanimate objects and geography, attempting to erase any trace or visual witness that once held their love story.
