That One who shaped the seven heavens and brought them forth

That One who shaped the seven heavens (worlds) and brought them forth,

Portioned to every soul its share of goods and ills.

If you see the capable one appearing in evident weakness,

All you behold is the just fit for its existence in this world.

If you bestow upon this weakling authority and might,

You will witness oppressions issuing from him in every form.

Like the hungry cat, when it seeks to fill its belly with food,

It will snatch the little sparrow’s egg from the ground’s surface, without mercy.

Arabic Translation

ذَلِكَ الَّذِيْ سَوَّى السَّبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ (عَوَالِمَ) وَأَنْشَأَهَا

قَسَمَ لِكُلِّ نَفْسٍ حَظَّهَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتٍ وَرَدَىْ

فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ الْقَادِرَ يَبْدُو بِضَعْفٍ ظَاهِرًا

فَكُلُّ مَا تَرَاهُ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُنَاسِبُ لِوُجُودِهِ فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا

فَإِنْ وَهَبْتَ هَذَا الضَّعِيْفَ سُلْطَةً وَقُوَّةً

فَسَتَرَى الْمَظَالِمَ تَصْدُرُ مِنْهُ بَشْتَى صُوَرِهَا

كَالْقِطَّةِ الْجَائِعَةِ إِذَا أَرَادَتْ مَلْءَ بَطْنِهَا مِنْ طَعَامٍ

فَسَتَخْطَفُ بَيْضَ الْعُصْفُوْرِ الصَّغِيْرِ مِنْ عَلَى سَطْحِ الْأَرْضِ، بِلَا رَحْمَةْ

Persian poem

آنکه هفت اقلیم عالم را نهاد

هر کسی را هر چه لایق بود داد

گر توانا بینی ار کوتاه دست

هر که را بینی چنان باید که هست

این که مسکین است اگر قادر شود

بس خیانت‌ها کزو صادر شود

گربهٔ محروم اگر پر داشتی

تخم گنجشک از زمین برداشتی
