English Translation

I see a silent weeping within your very laughter,

and in your gaze, a bewildered question remains.

It is silent, yet it has spoken so clearly;

your tear upon your cheek ran down and told all.

It complained of me, and it complained of you,

of a fleeting world whose ultimate end is vanishing.
A gentle melody caressed your eyes,

born of the most honest, pure sensations of emotion.

Your tear upon your cheek has sketched.

The truth of loyalty survives across the passage of ages.

From those beautiful cheeks, from which the crimson twilight,

has stolen the very color of sweet fragrance; Upon them met and parted,

the thirsty one of your spring and the flowing stream.
I see a deep pain lingering in your eyes,

and your eyelashes are overcome by the tyranny of torment.

In your speaking silence lies a profound regret,

and in your reality, a world of fleeting mirage.

Explaining:

أشوف في ضحكك بكاء: a miraculous rhetorical contrast depicting the pinnacle of pride and emotional restraint; where the other wears a mask of joy and smiles to conceal a sea of sighs and stifled tears.

في نظرتك حاير سؤال: the eye, like a revealing mirror of the soul; for despite the silence, the beloved’s gaze remains suspended, a bewildered existential question seeking an explanation for the vicissitudes of fate and the bitterness of separation.

دمعك على خدك رسم صدق الوفاء: personifying tears and embodying them like a master artist; for the falling tears are not merely an expression of weakness, but rather visual lines and a tangible trace that paints a document of “true loyalty” that the ages of absence cannot erase.

من دنيا آخرها زوال: a mystical, ascetic touch that consoles lovers; for all the pangs of separation and complaint pale in comparison to the truth that all material existence is fleeting and ephemeral, and nothing remains of it but the purity and sincerity of feelings.

من الخدود اللي الشفق منها سرق لون العبير: A lyrical Arabic image of exquisite luxury and visual beauty; the beloved’s red cheeks are likened to the moment of twilight (a red sunset), as if the sky stole its color and captivating fragrance from her cheeks in splendor and radiance.

ظامي ربيعك والغدير: “Thirsty” refers to someone intensely thirsty, and “stream” is a river or a flow of fresh water. The image embodies a terrible contradiction and an impossible encounter; where the harshness of the soul’s dryness (thirst) meets the outpouring of emotions and tears (the stream) on her cheeks, then they part without quenching their thirst.

صمتك الناطق: A beautiful verbal contradiction; for silence here is not the absence of words, but rather an eloquent language pulsating with regret and an essential outpouring that surpasses human voices.

واقعك دنيا سراب: Disappointment and the collision with bitter truth; Where the soul discovers that all the castles of hope it built in the realm of connection were nothing but a deceptive mirage that vanishes the moment one approaches it.

The song “The Truth of Loyalty” presents the tragedy of silent understanding and a cold confrontation with mortality, where we move to a higher stage of mutual acknowledgment of pain and silent regret. Both parties suffer together from the hardships of this world, its vicissitudes, and its inevitable demise (“He complained of me, and you complained of him”). There is no room here for harsh reproach or deceit; rather, there is complete surrender and quiet acceptance of a “speaking silence” that encapsulates all the tales of loyalty painted with precious tears on twilight cheeks, affirming that true loyalty remains alive and eternal throughout the ages, even if lived reality transforms into a pale mirage.
